Oldies but Rudies Sound from Madrid is a team of music enthusiasts Dolfo and Yorch. Both have been involved in the Spanish scene, playing and appreciating Jamaican music for over twenty years through various projects, either as collectors and selectors (such as Catch the Beat Reggae Weekender) or through bands like The Upsttemians or The Hypocondriacs. Honouring soundystem culture, they do not just play some of the best Ska, Rocksteady and Reggae from original 7″ records, but Dolfo will also entertain you on the Mic presenting their own versions on well known riddims and spice up the night in Deejay style.
Midnight Drifters are longtime friends Alex and Panza who after being an integral part of Berlin’s modern Reggae scene for many years decided to found a DJ team focussing more on the oldies side of Jamaican music in 2005. In focus are all styles of Jamaican vintage music from Ska to Rock Steady, from Early Reggae to Roots and Rockers, from Lovers Rock to Digital. Since forming this team, they played for many occasions all over the world.
Those who attended the legendary Rock Steady Ballroom sessions have witnessed, that these two know how to play tune from the rare stuff to the alltime classics.
