Berlin’s oldest and most frequent Allnighter. You will find original vinyl records only on the decks and the audience is quite subcultural. Skinheads, Mods and Punks share the wooden dancefloor of Linie1, the bar of the formerly squatted Tommy Weisbecker house. The Carib Crew is running this nighter for more than 20 years now and despite the free entrance you will find great international DJs with heavyweight tunes behind the decks from time to time. THE place for Early Reggae in Berlin!
Every First Friday, 10pm
Linie1, Wilhelmstrasse 9, 10963 Kreuzberg
Another former squat, the Schokoladen in Berlin-Mitte, is home to the Everything Crash Allnighter. Since Don Caribou and Prince Ralph started it up in 2005 they changed location twice but kept the concept: They play classic Jamaican ska, rocksteady and early reggae on vintage 45s, topping it off with rare soul grooves.
Every Second Friday, 10pm
Schokoladen, Ackerstr. 169, 10115 Berlin
Vintage Reggae Night
Founded by Barney Millah and Stefan in 2002, the Vintage Reggae Night is another classic for Reggae in Berlin. Just some years ago the crew was extended: Muk (I Revelation Soundsystem), Roots Rakete, our crew-members Panza (Midnight Drifters/Supersonic) and The Rhythm Ruler joined the team. You’ll find soundsystems at the Vintage Night from time to time, even two of Englands biggest valve-driven soundsystems, Valv-a-Tron by Paul Axis and Sounds & Pressure LoFi by Phil Bush have been invited to play there. Music wise you’ll get to hear mostly 80s Reggae and Early Dancehall, Roots, on some occasions one of the DJs plays some Ska or Rocksteady.
Every Third Friday, 10pm
YAAM, An der Schillingbrücke 3, 10243 Berlin
